My Story
Hi, I’m Shannon—and I’m truly honored to be part of your yoga journey.

Yoga has been part of my life for more than twenty years, quietly supporting me through growth, challenge, and transformation. But it became truly life‑changing during a period when I felt completely burnt out in my “secure” job in the school system. By my third stress leave, I was exhausted, unhappy, and unsure how I would keep going. Deep down, I knew something had to shift. I could stay in a role that was draining me, or I could take a leap of faith toward the work that had been lighting me up for years. I chose the leap—and it changed everything.
Stepping into yoga full time wasn’t just a career move; it was a return to myself. Yoga had helped me breathe again, reconnect, and rebuild from the inside out. That lived experience shapes the way I teach today. My classes are inclusive, welcoming, and designed for every body and every mind. Whether you’re seeking strength, softness, grounding, or simply a moment to breathe, you’ll find space here to show up exactly as you are.
With over 1,500 hours of training and a deep commitment to lifelong learning, I teach from both knowledge and heart. Yoga 4 Life Winnipeg is the result of that journey—a place where movement, mindfulness, and community come together. My hope is that you leave each class feeling supported, nourished, and a little more like yourself.
