My Story

Hi, I’m Shannon—and I’m truly honored to be part of your yoga journey.

For me, yoga is more than movement. It’s a way of life. I believe yoga is for every Body and every mind, and my teaching style reflects that belief. My classes are designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and accessible to all, offering a safe and supportive space where you can explore, grow, and simply be.

Yoga has been woven into my life for over two decades. It has guided me through transformation, grounded me in resilience, and helped me cultivate a more positive, present way of living. On and off the mat, my practice has made me stronger, more flexible, and more fearless.

My journey began in 2005, during my pregnancy with my daughter. As a devoted step and cardio class enthusiast, I was seeking a gentler form of movement, and that’s when I discovered the profound depth of yoga. It wasn’t just physical. It was emotional, mental, and spiritual. I was hooked.

That curiosity led me to deepen my practice and pursue formal training. In 2014, I completed my 200-hour certification at Yoga Centre Winnipeg. Since then, I’ve continued to learn, grow, and evolve—accumulating over 1,500 hours of training and embracing the role of lifelong student.

📚 My Certifications & Training Include:

  • 500-hour Club Pilates Certification

  • 300-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Hart Lazer (United Yoga Montreal)

  • 50-hour Yin Yoga Certification – Omniji Teacher’s College Winnipeg

  • 50-hour Sivatantra Yoga Certification – Peg City Yoga

Their guidance continues to shape my practice and my teaching.

My mission is simple: to help others thrive. I want to support you in nurturing your body, calming your mind, and uplifting your spirit—so you can live more fully, both on and off the mat.

When you leave class, my hope is that you feel refreshed, nourished, and balanced.

“Yoga is bringing fitness in body, calmness in mind, kindness in heart and awareness in life.” — Amit Ray, Yoga: The Science of Well-Being
